Quarks rating explanation here. AKG is a well known Austrian manufacturer of high quality microphones, headphones and wireless audio systems. They have been around since 1947 and although their presence is not prominent in the consumer market (they are working on that), they are huge in the professional audio industry. Many people prefer them over closed-back alternatives because they provide a more live-sounding experience as opposed to music being injected into your brain (which I actually prefer) from closed-back headphones. Sennheiser offers several high quality open-back Over-Ear headphones and the HD 600’s are a tier or two below the top of the line in this category. Quarks rating explanation here. The Sennheiser brand is all about quality audio and meticulous engineering. I reviewed the flagship over-the-ear model of their Momentum series last year. Now, it’s time to try out the in-ear wired version of the series. Hardware Design Rating: 8.5/10 The Momentum series headphones stand out for their tasteful, clean and almost timeless design. The in-ear version is no exception. I would say it’s the best looking in-ear design within all their lines, including the more expensive IE80 and the top of the line IE800....

Quarks rating explanation here. Hardware Design Rating: 10/10 Design is minimalistic and elegant. There are no sharp edges or shiny colors. Just a very discrete W40 printed on the outer side of each earphone. When inserted in the ear canal, the cable is supposed to run on the back of your ear. This is an excellent design as it provides a secure fit and it helps get the cable out of the way....

Overcast App is one of the best (if not the best) iOS podcast App currently available (you can read a comprehensive and long review here).
