I was in St. Louis last year on business and brought my camera with me. I wanted to capture the whole Gateway Arch at night, when it is nicely illuminated, and the best way to do so is from the other side of the river. Some people call that area the “bad St. Louis”, and I quickly learned why. This was one of the few times I thought I was actually going to get mugged when taking photos.
At the end, I think I got the shot I wanted, although I had to experiment with several long exposure settings.
