Oriental Pearl Tower

Shanghai is one of my favorite cities in Asia. The Bund and Pudong areas are an interesting mixture of traditional european architecture and modern asian-style skyscrapers. I guess one of the things I enjoy the most about this city is that you can go back and forward in time just by walking the back streets. Little houses and buildings that have been there for centuries are just some blocks away from the Bund and a couple of metro stations from the Pudong.

I took this shot through the glass from my hotel room. The magnificent Oriental Pearl Tower can be seen illuminated in purple and yellow surrounded by other high rise buildings on the east side of the Huangpu river.
