Towards the end of last year, my family and I spent some vacation time in a little island connected to a slightly larger island which in turn is connected to the mainland (Florida, in this case) by a bridge. That little island is called Captiva (hence, the title of this post. Get it?).
These islands have almost infinite photography opportunities, and I drove all over the place looking for nice spots. However, I took the photo above literally just some yards from the apartment we were renting. I was lucky enough to capture this beautiful sunset and wanted to share it in this site.
Some photography nuts are always looking for the subject in a photo or where the photographer wanted to focus the audience attention. Well, I’ll make it easy for them with this one: it’s my wife ’s flip flops.
